Will eating once a day help me lose weight?
There is a common misconception that when trying to achieve weight loss, eating as few meals as possible is a quick and easy approach. Based on my own personal research, my opinion has been proven that this approach to weights loss does the body more harm than good. Short term weight loss will occur but long term it will worsen. It is the exact opposite of which will help result in weight loss. When someone eats just one meal a day that person is slowing down their metabolism. When eating just once a day or attempting to "starve" yourself, puts the body into starvation mode. This then slows the metabolism causing the calories taken to be stored as fat reserved for the body's energy. The body senses being famished and to help protect itself it stores fat. In your "typical" situation a person should be eating 4-6 small meals a day to reach weight loss. Add some cardio and weight training to your routine and your good to go!
